We are looking for a clinical psychologist with an interest and skills in a number of areas, including trauma, neurodevelopmental and eating disorders.


This post has been developed to strengthen our psychological offer within CAMHS. Recent developments in the service include developing anxiety and low mood pathways, setting up and running a successful DBT programme, and developing a pathway of dedicated, highly skills clinicians to work with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders. We have a fully integrated eating disorder service for children and young people and current demand on the service has enabled clinicians from wider CAMHS to gain experience and develop specialist skills in this area. Attachment and Trauma interventions are an area of high need within the City as well as specialist neurodevelopmental assessments.

The post holder will work as part of a larger group of trained clinical psychologists. We have a number of assistant psychologists who are part of our CAMHS rotation programme. The post holder will be involved in supervision of AP’s within the service.

We welcome applications from newly qualified Clinical Psychologist as well as those with experience, post qualification. The candidate will have a demonstrable track record of providing good quality evidence-based interventions, improving service quality with an interest in service development. This position calls for a professional with significant interest and experience of working with children, young people and their families experiencing mental health difficulties. We are looking for a clinical psychologist who will share our passion to deliver the best quality care experience for children and their families. We are interested in supporting candidates developing their areas of particular interest where there is a strong service need.
