Senior Estates Manager : Estates & Facilities : Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Estates Manager to join Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT), reporting to the Head of Estates, Estates & Facilities.

As an experienced, estates professional in a healthcare environment, you will report to the Head of Estates and support in leading and managing the Trusts Estates portfolio.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Responsibility and accountability for ensuring that Trust premises are safe for patients, staff and visitors.
  • Professional accountability for estate building fabric, engineering infrastructure and maintenance.
  • Deputise for the Head of Estates across all areas of their work and will be responsible for the day-to-day Hard FM operational management of buildings and engineering services, including managing maintenance, engineering functions, sustainability, energy, Health and Safety and backlog maintenance.
  • Professionally qualified with experience in the areas of: water safety, LV/HV electrical systems, ventilation systems, medical gases, lifts, pressure systems, confined spaces, management of asbestos, management of contractors, asset management in leading and managing estate teams and contractors.

The Trust has over 100 properties including 40 wards, across 61 sites with a total GIA of circa 105,000 m2. This and other strategic appointments demonstrate the commitment to our services and grows the expert and visible leadership in our Estate & Facilities capability.

 

Who are you?

  • Proven track record and experience of supporting and leading public or private sector Estates teams, within healthcare settings.
  • Fully conversant in the NHS MMC construction requirements, Net Zero Carbon, ProCure 22/23 programme, SFG20 and the operation of CAFM and helpdesk systems in leading maintenance and project teams.
  • High calibre individual and experience in the development of the Estates Strategy utilising the latest LPT ERIC data alongside key information from National Policy standards, LPT Safety Groups, HTM/HBN guidance and industry best practice.
  • Demonstratable broad range of skills and competencies required to meet the demands of this business-critical role in our growing team.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop practical plans to implement the estate and facilities strategies
  • Ability to identify, plan and undertake research and development initiatives to inform strategic objectives
  • Experience of setting, managing and delivering budgets with annual efficiency programmes
  • Extensive experience of leading and managing contracts

 

On Call arrangements. This role will require the post-holder to help develop and participate in the new E&F on-call rota, with responsibility for managing emergency situations for the hospital sites out-of-hours.
