We are looking to recruit a committed, patient focused Team Leader (Band 7) Therapeutic Radiographer to come and join our friendly team here at the Worcester Oncology Centre on a fixed term 12 month contract.

We are based in a new bespoke purpose built building that opened in 2015 on the Worcestershire Royal Hospital site and currently have a team of over 70 staff. We share the Mosaiq oncology management system and Raystation with University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (Arden Centre).

The department is patient focused and strives to ensure that all patients are treated in a supportive and calming environment. We offer excellent facilities for patients including Radiographer led clinics, a Macmillan Information Pod as well as an RVS café and shop within the building. The department has also recently supported the development of a walking football group for patients and their carers.

We are IGRT led and are in the process of bringing SABR treatment online. We have 3 matched Elekta linacs undertaking a range of techniques including VMAT, IGRT and DIBH, localization is carried out on a Toshiba Wide Bore CT Scanner. Raystation is used for all treatment planning, including Vsim. We also have a Gulmay superficial/orthovoltage unit.

We provide placements for undergraduate students from Birmingham City University.

The post holder will be rotated into either the pre-treatment (including vsim planning) and/ or treatment area depending on previous experience / skills in these areas.
