Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics Administrative Officer
We are looking for an H&I Administrative Officer to provide efficient and effective support to the H&I Department. This department is based in NHS Blood and Transplant at Filton, which is the largest blood manufacturing site in Europe. The H&I department is a diagnostic service, working to the highest standard and care for our donors and patients.
You will work as an active team member assisting with a comprehensive range of administrative duties/procedures as dictated by the workload of the Department. This will be a laboratory based role which involves unpacking blood samples and labelling them prior to entering the details onto our databases and other administrative duties.
Administrative tasks include entering patient information onto our databases, labelling closed samples, posting, filing/archiving, minute taking and general administrative duties. This role will maintain all of the departmental task-based training records and involve co-ordinating service engineer visits. Please note that experience of minute taking is essential for this role.
You will be required to communicate with other NHSBT departments and external contacts as required. Strict confidentiality must be maintained at all times and ensuring that information relating to patients and donors is handled in accordance with NHSBT policies & procedures.
