Community Nurse Specialist Band 6
based in Melksham and Bradford on Avon Community Team.
Full time Hours (37.5) per week
Due to Wiltshire Health and Care’s drive towards a resilient and skilled workforce, an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Melksham and Bradford on Avon’s friendly and dynamic Community Team for a Community Nurse Specialist or an experienced Band 5 Community Nurse to undertake the SPQ pathway.
The SPQ is an initiative that seeks to develop our own staff into the leaders of tomorrow. This programme will allow the individual to be funded to complete the required modules, released to attend locally held action learning sets and benefit from the peer support of others already on the programme.
As you progress in your development, you will become responsible for line managing junior members of staff and for managing one of the caseloads within the team.
You will also contribute to the setting up and managing of the new Rapid Response Service alongside your fellow Band 6 nurses within the team.
This position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity of developing both professionally and personally; optimising and enhancing skills and competence whilst working alongside a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
The successful applicant will also be encouraged to contribute to the development and implementation of new ways of working to continually evolve care delivery for our Wiltshire patients and maximise the services within the Community Team.
