The RD&E Medical Equipment Management (MEM) team works closely across the Trust to provide the best possible service to support the provision of medical equipment. We are looking to successfully appoint a candidate who is as passionate about supporting good quality patient care as we are.

The Renal Technologist team are a small section of MEM based in the Renal Unit at the Wonford site and also support clinical services at locations across Devon. We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated engineer to be part of a dedicated and highly professional team working within a varied and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will participate in an on-call rota and support the Trust’s renal-specific medical equipment throughout its life cycle. Other work streams will include acceptance processes, scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, calibration, repairs, implementation of regulatory actions and the decommissioning and safe disposal of the equipment.

The post involves working with other healthcare professionals, often in clinical areas, therefore excellent communication skills to build good working relationships will be required to interact with medical, nursing and technical staff.

We would encourage anyone with transferable skills from an engineering / field service or repair and calibration background to enquire and discuss their suitability and come in for a visit to see what this exciting and vital role can offer. Specialist training relating to renal-specific medical equipment will be provided as necessary, in addition to opportunities to further develop your personal skills portfolio.
