Are you an inspirational, dynamic and experienced leader who can bring enthusiasm and energy to motivate a team? Our Day procedure and pre-operative care services at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital need you!

As Matron for DPU and Pre-Op Care you will work alongside Theatre Matron Colleagues to lead, develop and improve care pathways for Day Case surgery, ensuring high quality patient care and efficient utilisation of available capacity. You will focus on providing a high quality patient service whilst helping to establish optimal efficiency and productivity of theatres by ensuring pre-operative processes are efficient and robust.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the leadership team with responsibility to help shape the strategic direction of the Theatre Complex. You should have experience of driving change to deliver safe and effective patient care in new and innovative ways. As Matron, you will be fully accountable for DPU, 23 hour stay unit and Pre-operative Care areas, which include Same Day Admissions unit (SDAU) and Pre-operative Assessment (POA).

Your responsibilities will encompass Human Resources management, cost improvement, service development, training and education and delivery of key performance indicators relating to the quality and safety standards across the department. You will also contribute to the divisional Matron team who support daily operational activities and affect change across the wider trust; whilst also contributing to the strategic direction for the division and organisation as a whole.

Full Time 37.5 hours per week
