We are very excited to offer an excellent opportunity for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team of nurses and allied health professionals within the Orthopaedic department at the NNUH.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, adaptable and ambitious and will help lead on development and delivery of high standards of nursing care to our elective patients within the department.

The service relies on nurses to take the lead in discharge planning, to continue to maintain an excellent level of patient care but also strive to improve patient experience, whilst also driving the flow of the patients and ensuring national targets are met.

There are numerous future opportunities available to staff who wish to progress, by climbing the management ladder or remaining clinical and joining our growing team of Orthopaedic nurse practitioners, who work as autonomous practitioners alongside our consultant colleagues. This year will also see the opening of our dedicated Elective Orthopaedic Centre which will include two brand new additional theatres and a 20 bedded in-patient ward. This is an expanding department and it’s an exciting time to join.

This is an exciting and progressive department which is continuously adapting to meet and enhance the care provided to our patients and we would welcome an application from anyone keen to join the team.

As post holder you will work with all members of the ward clinical team to help maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the ward sister/charge nurse. You will also act as a leader in the clinical area providing support and guidance in the absence of a more senior member of staff.

Rota’s cover a full 24 hours and involve a mixture of working day and night shifts.
