The service relies on nurses to take the lead in discharge planning, to continue to maintain an excellent level of patient care but also strive to improve patient experience, whilst also driving the flow of the patients and ensuring national targets are met.
There are numerous future opportunities available to staff who wish to progress, by climbing the management ladder or remaining clinical and joining our growing team of Orthopaedic nurse practitioners, who work as autonomous practitioners alongside our consultant colleagues. This year will also see the opening of our dedicated Elective Orthopaedic Centre which will include two brand new additional theatres and a 20 bedded in-patient ward. This is an expanding department and it’s an exciting time to join.
This is an exciting and progressive department which is continuously adapting to meet and enhance the care provided to our patients and we would welcome an application from anyone keen to join the team.
