An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, creative, and experienced Physiotherapist to join the Home First North Team in Bodmin. This is a permanent position with a dynamic, progressive, integrated multiagency, multidisciplinary team.

The Home First team is part of the integrated community team in North Cornwall which includes registered and non-registered nursing, therapy and administrative staff who work closely with partnership organisations to support the intermediate health needs of our local population.

You will be responsible for assessment, planning and implementation of care as part of the D2A process within the wider Home First North Area. You will assist in the interpretation of information relevant to the patient’s condition/progress, identify problems and needs of patient and set realistic goals. You will be based in the Home First team but will in reach into the CATU-community assessment and treatment unit, in Bodmin Hospital, and so follow the patient journey out into the community through Home First and the Community Rehab Team. CATU have an SDEC (same day emergency care) unit for quick assessment and turnaround of community patients.

You will be responsible for supporting our lower band physiotherapists with their clinical work and development.

You will need to have excellent organisational skills combined with a wide knowledge base and experience of working in the community and older person’s services.

We will offer a supportive working environment in which to develop your clinical and interpersonal skills, a structured in-service training programme, appraisal and supervision system. CPD is actively supported through regular supervision and staff training. We have the ‘Long Term Condition’ training and also training to support the Ageing Well Programme which is being piloted within Cornwall.

You would be moving to an area of outstanding national beauty with sandy beaches ideal for families, surfing and windsurfing. The coastal path showcasing some of the most beautiful views of the surrounding area and wildlife. You are near to moorland with Bodmin, Dartmoor and Exmoor close by. The award-winning Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, theatres, cinemas, many picturesque fishing villages and coves, the Lizard Peninsula and Lands End.

Relocation fees would be payable in line with policy.
