We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sous Chef to join our Kitchens department located at our Main Hospital in Central London, W1G 6JA (close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations).

We offer an A La Carte & bespoke, tailored food service which is dedicated to giving our patients the best nutritious and flavoursome dishes. The successful candidate will also gain valuable knowledge in nutrition and may also work alongside our dietitian team gaining valuable knowledge in food science.


Job Profile:

As a Senior Sous Chef you willplay a key role in assisting the Executive Head Chef in comprehensive management of all aspects of the kitchen operation and work towards building a team infrastructure which delivers world class food product on a consistent basis, driving all aspects of menu development, supplier relationships, team recruitment and development to fit in with London Clinic strategic plan.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week.
  • Location: The London Clinic Main Hospital, W1G 6BW

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and correct production of food for all service operations as required as instructed by the Executive Head Chef
  • Report to the Executive Head Chef and maintain total responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen and other catering outlets
  • Coordinates daily tasks with the Executive Head Chef in their absence.
  • Supervise the Sous Chefs and junior cooks to aid their development and ensure the standards set are met.
  • Able to estimate the daily production needs to ensure food waste is kept to a minimum.



Skills & Experience

  • Experienced as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Full understanding of UK food production laws & requirements.
  • Level 3 food hygiene certificate or higher.
  • To be able to demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Hotel or large scale catering background desirable but not essential.
