Salary: Managerial Job Family £38,466.56 – £47,102.77 (depending on experience)

This role has a nominal base of Sheffield (S4) but the home location is flexible. Travel to the nominal base is expected from time to time. More information will be provided at interview.

Our Business Intelligence team plays a central part in CPP’s success, serving Business Intelligence (BI) needs and catalogue management operations across the business, utilising cloud-based technologies tor data storage, workflow management and visualisations.

To assist in this mission, we are seeking an experienced business analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting the creation of a programme of improvements across CPP’s business intelligence (BI) function.

This will be achieved by forging key relationships between our Supply Chain Towers and the Business Intelligence team. The work you undertake will help us identify concerns and shape a BI process to rectify this whilst identifying opportunities to maximise savings.

Reporting to the National Business and Performance Manager, the Lead Business and Insight Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Identifying the needs of our internal business areas and translating these needs into projects to identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
  • Developing effective working relationships across CPP Towers to ensure collaboration and shared benefits.
  • Co-ordinating BI workstream projects regarding the implementation and use of BI software, liaising with Data Analysts on the development and roll out of data workflows and visualisations.
  • Producing outcome driven analysis, ensuing the delivery is accurate and reliable.
  • Fostering a strong and positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Championing the use of the CPP BI platform in developing the vision by outlining the function and use of the platform and supporting the National Business and Performance Manager’s requirements.
  • Upskilling Tower colleagues to value data as an analytical tool.

Who you are:

  • Educated to degree level in a Business-related subject or equivalent or experienced in a related subject matter with at least three years’ experience in an equivalent data analytics role.
  • Considerable experience in Analysis/Data interpretation in a variety of formats.
  • Advanced experience of using MS Power BI, first-hand use of data visualisations, as well as exposure to Alteryx, or Tableau or Cognos, is essential.
  • Experience of the MS Azure Cloud and MS SQL Server database technologies is desirable.
  • Great stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure information is accurate, congruent, reliable, and is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.
  • Able to demonstrate a logical mindset and exceptional organisation skills and time-management skills.
  • Able to demonstrate natural and confident presentation skills.
