Our new Associate Director of Procurement and Commercial Services will join a high performing Senior Management Team who have achieved significant success in the delivery of our Strategic Business Plans and underpinning aims and objectives.

This role comes at an exciting time in our development and offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of our ambitious strategic plans.  We are seeking an experienced professional to lead for Procurement and Commercial services of our company, with a strong track record of leading people at senior level in a complex environment.

The Associate Director of Procurement and Commercial Services will be pivotal in the relationship with customers and as such must have a truly customer focused business approach with full appreciation and anticipation of customer and stakeholder priorities.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Strategic lead for Procurement, Commercial and Out-Patient Pharmacy Services at BFS
  • Ensure the provision of cost effective, efficient and responsive purchasing and supply chain management service
  • Corporate responsibility for providing expert advice to the Trust’s Directors and Managers on procurement issues including:
    • Product/Service selection
    • Innovation
    • Process
    • Legislative requirements
  • Demonstrate best value for money, through compliance with contracts/SLA’s and development of key strategies for supplier and contract management

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills will be essential, and you will bring the gravitas to influence and engage our stakeholders in the Trust and externally. Commercial and adaptable, you will bring pace and energy to the BFS Senior Management Team and Board. Most importantly you will share our values and put patients first in the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care.
