We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Business Partner to join our Procurement department located at The London Clinic’s Head Office in London. We are offering a hybrid working model with some remote working available, along with a highly competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.

Our Procurement team provide professional procurement expertise, advice and services across the organisation ensuring value for money is achieved, whilst fundamentally supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. Procurement includes: The Purchasing, Sourcing, Supply Chain & Electrical and Bio-Medical Engineering (EBME) teams.


Job Profile

The Procurement Business Partner will maintain a close working relationship with the core Purchasing and Supply Chain team to provide an effective Procurement service. This will include a professional and pro-active management of purchasing activities, tendering/RFQ’s and contract management across the London Clinic, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, as well as the procedural and financial policies of the Clinic.


  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday.
  • Working Pattern: 8.00am to 4.30pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm would be the common patterns.
  • Location: Head Office - London, NW1 4LJ (close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations). We are offering a hybrid working model with remote working available.
  • Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, which will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide a professional, customer focused Procurement service to all user departments, undertaking tendering and contracting activities for goods and services to meet the needs of the Clinic. This includes the drafting of specifications, determining evaluation criteria and service deliverables as well as determining savings achieved.
  • Management of the Senior Purchasing Advisor, and developing a culture within the team that identifies and communicates the contribution that procurement makes to an effective and efficient service.
  • Responsible as the leading technical expert for providing a comprehensive procurement service ensuring compliance and adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Providing highly complex, expert advice and coordination of all procurement and contracting issues within category.
  • Gain competitive advantage for the Clinic by identifying best practice and leveraging the Clinic’s spend by implementing a category management strategy, delivering effective procurements through effective project work.
  • Work closely with the Head of Procurement, Supply Chain & Inventory Manager and Senior Team members to achieve the objectives of both the department and the London Clinic to deliver a world class service


Skills & Experience:

  • Significant knowledge and experience in a Procurement management or category management role.
  • In possession of CIPS Professional Diploma – CIPS Level 6 (or equivalent) or keen to embark on training leading to a professional purchasing/supply qualification.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies with experience of contract law and dispute resolution, statistical and data analysis skills, risk assessment / analysis and applying principles of change management.
  • Evidence of ability to plan, develop and implement initiatives without direct supervision as well as achievements in terms of savings / service improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate with staff at all levels and use informed persuasion to influence others, including senior personnel.
  • Experience of managing complex projects to time and on budget with advanced IT skills and good knowledge of MS Office suite.
