CONSULTANT PAEDIATRICIAN IN COMMUNITY PAEDIATRICS (0.7WTE)

 

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an Enthusiastic Community paediatrician to join our team of Consultants, Specialist Nurses and Specialty Doctor, based in New Street Health centre, Barnsley.

This post has been created due to retirement of previous consultants and existing team reducing their hours of work. This is a 0.7WTE post covering neurodisability, Initial health Assessments for looked after children and Multi-disciplinary assessments for children with social communication difficulties. The team works closely with Local authority, 0-19 service, Therapists and other agencies.

The team of community Paediatricians conduct locality clinics in different areas of Barnsley.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges for adverts placed from 1st June are as follows:

 

Standard Check: £23.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one-off payment

 

Enhanced Check: £40.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months’ salary, £10.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.

 

Throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, health and social care workers have done a phenomenal job to care for and protect those most at risk from COVID-19.  From 1 April 2022, subject to Parliamentary approval, it will become law that frontline health and social care workers in patient facing roles must provide evidence of a complete course of an authorised COVID-19 vaccine, unless they are exempt.  Please note that applicants for roles within the scope of the regulations will be asked to evidence their vaccination status, or valid exemption, as part of the recruitment process.
