HEALTH & WELLBEING SUPPORT OFFICER

HR

£22,549 - £24,882 per annum/pro rata (AfC Band 4)(Subject to JD outcome)

37.5 hours per week – 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM / SECONDMENT

 

To support and deliver on activities/projects for the Trust’s Wellbeing agenda.

 

Undertake project work and support health & wellbeing coordinator to ensure key wellbeing objectives are achieved.

 

Assist with a range of a queries arising from the wellbeing Strategy and initiatives.

 

Promote and deliver the Know your number wellbeing in action campaign across the Trust

 

Plan and implement defined wellbeing events across the Trust.

 

Co-ordinate and support the planning, data collection/filing and running of the Wellbeing campaigns including the Know your numbers initiative.

 

Organise and support the work of the Health Champions in partnership with Health & Wellbeing Coordinator, including scheduling meetings, promotion of wellbeing initiatives, support with their wellbeing role and guidance when required

 

Assess the training needs of the Wellbeing Champions through training needs analysis, in partnership with health & wellbeing coordinator

 

Organise and co-ordinate Wellbeing Committee meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes ensure follow-up of matters arising from those meeting.

 

Work collaboratively with various departments across the Trust and participate in the delivery of Wellbeing related awareness sessions.

 

Deliver training/presentations to Trust staff which relates to the wellbeing agenda including Know your numbers and wellbeing campaigns

 

Administration and report on various wellbeing projects, including Employee Support Schemes, or national wellbeing initiatives, bi-annual lifestyle questionnaire. 

 

Analysis and manipulation of management information data from different sources, providing quantitative and qualitative information regarding workforce KPIs.

 

Ensure that progress is made towards agreed Trust targets on by providing general wellbeing advice and working with managers on specific objectives, assisting in the production and monitoring of action plans.

 

Work with managers and staff to resolve queries within own level of knowledge and, escalating/taking advice as required.

 

Attend internal and external meetings with, or in the absence of wellbeing team members, with social sector groups and stakeholder organisation to ensure Trust representation and engagement, being mindful at all time of acting as a Trust ambassador.

 

 

Organise and co-ordinate meetings with key internal and external stakeholders.

 

Have a good customer service knowledge and able to use tact and diplomacy when communicating with staff at all levels within the organisation.

 

Proactively support and signpost managers and employees with wellbeing issues to appropriate support services both local and national

 

Show initiative, organise own day to day activities/workload, and raising new areas for consideration in improve of staff. wellbeing

 

Responsible for stock control and ordering of basic stationery, supplies and promotional materials to support events/initiatives wellbeing.

 

Support wellbeing team and staff through provision of minute taking at meetings.

 

To undertake any other duties as required

 

•           Qualification or demonstrable relevant experience at NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care / Minimum GCSE grade C in English and Maths,

 

•           Trained to deliver relevant initiatives to Health & Wellbeing Champion’s e.g. Public Health’s initiative or health screening roles

 

•           Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and prioritise workload and meet deadlines

•           Ability to travel across sites

•           Computer skills

•           Self-motivated

•           Positive attitude with the ability to motivate others

•           Determined, confident and motivated

Enhanced Check: £40.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months’ salary, £10.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
