The role

This is a unique opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious candidate to join us on our journey to transform services for our communities in Coventry and Warwickshire. You will be highly talented and fully qualified accountant who is already operating at a very senior level. You will also have demonstrable significant leadership experience and extensive experience of utilising health economics experience in a relevant role and setting. The post holder will work closely with other ICB Executives and Non-Executive Directors and alongside Directors of Finance and other leaders across Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System.

ICB Context

We will take on statutory form following the implementation of proposed legislation from July 2022 and will comprise an Integrated Care Board (ICB) taking on both Coventry and Warwickshire CCGs’ functions, some parts of NHSE functions, and broader strategic responsibility for setting and delivering healthcare strategies for the system. The ICB will work with an Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) committee formed jointly with Local Authority, and wider, partners. Both build on a record of successful collaboration across a number of areas. Together the ICP and ICB will become the ICS.

This position of Chief Finance Officer is for the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board. Coventry and Warwickshire CCG will be the host employer of the role until it is transferred to the newly formed ICB on 1st July 2022. (Subject to the passing of legislative proposals regarding changes to the Health and Care Bill).

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this important and influential role will attract a highly attractive remuneration package.

NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group is responsible for planning, organising and buying NHS-funded healthcare for over a million people in the Coventry and Warwickshire areas. The CCG represents all 123 GP practices in our area.
