PAEDIATRIC PRACTICE EDUCATOR

CHILDREN’S SERVICES

£32,306 - £39,027 per annum/pro rata (AfC Band 6)

22.5 hours per week – 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our nursing team as a Paediatric Practice Educator within children’s services at Barnsley NHS Foundation Trust. The post is to cover maternity leave and would suit an experienced children’s nurse with an interest in education and professional development.

You must have a passion for evidence-based practice and have the knowledge and skills to educate and support staff, empowering them to provide high quality, safe and compassionate care.

Excellent communication, role modelling and coaching skills are essential in this role to ensure a supportive and caring environment for registered, unregistered and learners.

The role requires an ability to act as an expert resource, provider and leader in education within the clinical area with a flexible and adaptable approach.

You will demonstrate a passion for patient care and the patient experience, taking responsibility to proactively initiate changes to care pathways with opportunities to innovate care.

Standard Check:    £23.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one off payment.

Enhanced Check:  £40.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months’ salary, £10.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
