It is also the only centre in the UK for a number of specialist services including Pulmonary Endarterectomy and Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty (BPA).

Cambridge Centre for Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC)

 

Clinical Training Fellowship

 

 

Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellowship to offer specialist experience in the provision of respiratory support for chronic ventilator failure and in the management of respiratory and non-respiratory sleep disorders. It will be suitable for individuals aiming at a career in these disciplines. Applications will be welcomed from those seeking post CCT experience or on a respiratory training programme.

 

The post, which would be for one year in the first instance, is open to specialist registrars in Respiratory Medicine (as out of programme experience or post CCT experience) and is ideal for SpRs wishing to specialize in Sleep Medicine. This post holder will be supervised by Dr Ian Smith, Clinical Lead of the Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC) and Deputy Medical Director.

 

The successful appointee will have Honorary Specialist Registrar status within the Trust and will gain extensive experience in research as well as the management of Sleep Disorders and medical treatment.
