SENIOR THEATRE PRACTITIONER TEAM LEADER

MAIN THEATRES

£32,306 - £39,027 per annum/pro rata (AfC Band 6)

37.5 hours per week - PERMANENT

 

We are looking for 1 RGN or ODP who has the vision to provide leadership to staff caring for patients across main theatres and who possesses a strong commitment to improving patient safety and quality of care.

 

 Our mission is to deliver exceptional care to patients treated in our operating theatres and to do that, we need exceptional people.

 

 The successful post holder will have the prime responsibility for co-ordinating main theatres, working to promote a culture of collaborative working and providing professional leadership and skilled knowledge.

 

The role is clinically based with the emphasis on working alongside staff to support them in their clinical duties to ensure that Trust standards are adhered to and that patient care and safety are exceptional.

 

The post holder will be required to work all out of hours shifts, these include nights, afters and weekends.

The post holder:

 

Will take responsibility for coordinating theatre department on a regular basis

Will support the Lead Nurse in the delivery of strategic and operational activity.

Will co-ordinate a team of staff ensuring the delivery of the highest quality care, 

communicating effectively his/her clinical theoretical knowledge and expertise.

Will be able to Communicate complex information effectively to other trust staff, including information relevant to clinical theoretical knowledge and expertise.

Will responsibly undertake the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual care for theatre patients.
Will participate and utilise evidence-based practice, protocols and policies.

Standard Check: £23.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one off payment.

Enhanced Check: £40.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months’ salary, £10.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
