Reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations – Clinical Hubs, this is a senior and high profile leadership role, responsible for management and leadership of the Clinical Hub, ensuring the delivery of high quality and effective care to patients. The Head of Clinical Hub will provide strong leadership in an open, supportive culture, will shape and set priorities and objectives and be accountable for all aspects of delivery and operations across call taking and dispatch within their respective Clinical Hub. The Head of Clinical Hub has line management responsibility for the Deputy Head of Clinical Hub and Trust Incident Managers and is responsible for the health and wellbeing of all staff working in the Clinical Hub.

The Head of Clinical Hub will provide the Assistant Director of Operations – Clinical Hubs with consistent support, acting with integrity and professionalism at all times. Alongside their Head of Clinical Hub counterpart and the Head of Clinical Operations and Safety (Clinical Hubs), they will form the Clinical Hub Senior Management Team, working with the Assistant Director of Operations – Clinical Hubs to oversee all aspects of Clinical Hub Operations and drive all aspects of Clinical Hub business.

The Head of Clinical Hub is a full member of the Operations Directorate team and as such will be expected to participate fully and constructively in all aspects of Directorate business. This will include assisting in making decisions that impact on the wider Directorate and Trust.

The Head of Clinical Hub will be expected to work closely with their Head of Clinical Hub Colleague, The Head of Clinical Operations and Safety (Clinical Hubs) and the wider County Commander/ Deputy County Commander team colleagues in support of Departmental and Directorate objectives. A key expectation will be for close alignment across the three Heads of Clinical Hub to reduce variation, improve performance and introduce best practice across the Department, ensuring the pledge of “one Virtual Hub” is realised in the fullest sense.

Please note this is one permanent post with a 3% on call allowance. We have a start date available from22 March 2022.
