SHFT require staff to work effectively together using the Family Approach to achieve better outcomes for adults, children and families. The Trust will support you in this duty by providing ongoing training, support and advice and have a Corporate Safeguarding Team who can be contacted for guidance and the provision of safeguarding supervision.

Bluebird House is one of five Forensic Children’s mental health units in the country and one of only Three that accept both male and female patients.

We offer a fun and dynamic environment where we prioritise the best outcomes for the young people we care for.

You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most complex 12-18 year olds in the country who experience complex mental health difficulties and challenging behaviour.

Many of the young people we help have experienced previous placements breakdown, prior to being admitted to Bluebird. We always ensure we spend a lot of time building a relationship with all of our young people by providing a safe, controlled environment. We put our all in to everything.

As a staff nurse you will develop, implement and evaluate care plans in conjunction with service users, carers and other professionals ensuring individual needs are met. You will carry out all relevant forms of care and will be designated to take charge of a ward in the absence of a charge nurse.
