We are looking for two enthusiastic, flexible Band 5 Audiologists to join our friendly team. We are a service that is proactively changing to adopt new ways of working in order to deliver the best care to patients we can in these challenging times and beyond. As our Department provides a comprehensive Audiology and Hearing Aid service to the whole of the North of Tyne area you will be expected to transport yourself across the locality during the course of a normal working week. A driving license and access to a car, or the ability to drive, would be desirable.

You will provide all routine aspects of diagnostic and rehabilitative Audiology including covering ENT clinics, hearing aid fittings and reviews and becoming involved in remote care Audiology. Our service covers adults and paediatrics and you will also become involved in the more advanced techniques and procedures in more specialist areas.

Essential Requirements;

  • BSc / MSc in Audiology or equivalent. Please note we can accept applications from those who are working towards their BSc. In this situation we could only offer the positions as a Band 4 until the qualification is achieved at which point the post will become a Band 5.
  • Have or be working towards RCCP or HCPC registration. If you do not currently have RCCP or HCPC registration, you will be required to be registered within two years of the start of employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You should be a good team player and be eager to progress your career by assuming wider responsibilities.
