Are you an expereinced Occupational Therapist lookingto support the development of the Long Covid Service alongside Vocational Rehabilitation Services? Thenjoin our Solent Neuro Rehabilitation Services!

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Solent's Adult Services Southampton. Your role will be initially based in Neuro Vocational Rehabilitation Services in support of the newly formed VRS Long Covid Service and thereafter within the Neuro Services (Snowdon Ward, Kite Unit, CNRT, ESD, Rehab Gym) or Community Independence Services (CIS).

For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.

Solent Neuro Rehabilitation Services provide community rehabilitation to individuals with a neurological diagnosis across a number of settings; including two inpatient rehabilitation wards- Snowdon Neuro Rehabilitation Unit and the Kite Unit, outpatient services including the Vocational Rehabilitation Service and community based services, which includes the Early Supported Discharge Teams and Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team.

The expectations of this post are to primarily be based within the Vocational Rehabilitation Service in support of the Long Covid Service and delivery of Vocational Rehabilitation. However, there is an expectation that the holder of this post will be willing to work across the Neuro Services or across the Adults Southampton Services of Solent NHS Trust should it be required, once the term of the pilot work for which this backfill post has been created is complete.

Solent Long Covid Service available to Southampton and Portsmouth populations. Service delivery includes assessment, digital innovation application, and group work. The service is multidisciplinary crossing primary, secondary and community care. The service core clinical staffing of community Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing and non-clinical care co-ordinators with weekly multi service and profession MDT’s for complex patient care in parallel or signposting. Care co-ordinators for each locality to support patients navigate the complex pathways and support in the treatment pathway. The service is collaborating with wider provider systems to ensure equitable care to the regions population.
