1.0WTE Macmillan Treatment Team Leader (Maternity leave cover until 31/10/2022)

Two temporary positions have arisen to support maternity leave cover we are looking for exceptional radiographers to join our team as Macmillan Treatment Team Leaders within the radiotherapy department at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. These roles will work closely with our operational leads and multi-professional colleagues covering all areas, including TBI & TNLI, SRS, SABR, superficial and brachytherapy.

Operating mainly from our Charing Cross site, our equipment portfolio includes four TrueBeam Linacs, Philips Brilliance CT scanner and Xstrahl unit; our Elekta Flexitron Brachytherapy unit is based at Hammersmith Hospital in a dedicated brachytherapy suite. We will be introducing a new 5th Linac on our Hammersmith Site in late summer 2022. Two of our newest TrueBeam Linacs have the ExacTrac system and we are looking to expand the use of this system. These roles will play a key part in helping to support the final phase of our SABR roll out and the implementation of SGRT. We have switched the majority of our treatment planning system to the Raystation system and we are now in the final stages of implementation of our paperless patient pathways.

We actively support professional development and encourage radiographer led research and QI projects. We support leadership development with excellent leadership development programmes delivered by the trust and have adopted all of our clinical and physics workforce as Macmillan professionals. We also support flexible working arrangements with many of our team already working 4 day weeks or 9 day fortnights. All applicants would be expected to be able to support the working hours of the service including on-call working at weekends.
