What’s the role?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join Southern Health’s Rehabilitation Service. 

Hours: Full time or Part time. (Fully flexible, shift patterns will include early, late and night shifts on a rotational basis.) 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join our Rehab Team. You will be responsible for the day to day leadership of the physical health team and provide clinical support and supervision to your team. The successful applicant will work as part of an inpatient nursing/therapy team involved in Patient’s rehab to enable them to achieve their individual goals in order to be discharged safely from hospital, and they must have excellent communication skills in order to work effectively with both the integrated team and wider community care providers.

Where is the role based?

The team base is at Ford Ward which is located at Fordingbridge Hospital. If you would like to be considered for this role, you will please need to be a car driver. We are currently unable to accept applications from overseas candidates. 

What do we do?

Ford Ward is a 15 bedded unit and has a large day room, dining room and therapy room which are all conducive to rehabilitation. The Community beds service aims to rehabilitate or re-able people to return to their own homes within two weeks of their admission/transfer.
