An exciting one year opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Dietitian (0.6 wte) to work within the Radiotherapy Outpatient service within the Oncology , Surgical and Artificial Feeding Dietetic and Nursing Team at St James's Institute of Oncology, Leeds.

You will be responsible for providing highly specialist nutritional assessment and advice to non-surgical oncology patients, particularly those with head and neck cancer. You will support the Lead Radiotherapy Dietitian in providing a dietetic service to the radiotherapy unit in Leeds Cancer Centre. Leeds Cancer Centre is one of the largest providers of cancer care in the UK, delivering a comprehensive range of modern treatments and is a world renowned specialist cancer centre for patients in Leeds, Yorkshire and the North of England. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Dietitian with excellent communication and team working skills, to work as an integral member of this team.

The Nutrition and Dietetic Department provides regular professional development events, and hosts training to A, B and C placement students. You will be actively involved in the development, implementation and audit of patient care practices as part of Clinical Governance. The post offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development as the clinical services evolve.
