Connect Health Live!

January 2022

We at Connect Health are extremely proud of the amazing work we do and how we’ve grown from being a single private clinic established in 1989, to now being the largest provider of community musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy services in the UK.

As we grow, innovate and develop the MSK services we offer, we live by one single vision; to help people improve their quality of life. It’s what we do, who we are and why we exist. It’s what every individual within our Connect team cares passionately about.

We are also proud of what we offer our clinicians in terms of personal and professional development, and we know that investing in the development of our colleagues is one of, if not the single, most important factors in career development, job satisfaction, personal engagement and, ultimately, patient care.

We’d love to share with you why we are so proud of what we do at one of our online, live chat careers events. You can join our team of healthcare professionals on Monday 17th January at 4:30pm or Thursday 20th January at 12:30pm and again at 6pm.

Not heard of Connect Health? Well, let’s tell you a little bit about ourselves…

Founded in 1989 by Professor Andrew Walton, who remains the Group Executive Director, we started out originally as a musculoskeletal service provider, operating out of the North East of England. The business has grown to become a medium-sized enterprise, providing a range of community-based services to the NHS, alongside Occupational Health services to the Corporate sector.

Connect Health is now a leading community services healthcare provider encompassing mental health, IAPT, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, tier-2 MSK (musculoskeletal), chronic pain, functional disorder/long Covid, First Contract Practitioners (FCP), rheumatology and occupational health services, serving over 375k NHS patients pa across 50+ NHS CCGs/Trusts). Our growth over the last 5 years is a testament to the high quality, efficient and effective care we provide through our clinical and support colleagues. We are internationally recognised as an agent of change; driving innovation and transformation in collaboration with other NHS provider organisations.

We pride ourselves on offering people a great place to work that encourages an environment where people can be the best version of themselves every day. Connect Health people are energetic, passionate and believe wholeheartedly in aspiring to excellence in the way we provide care at the clinical/patient interface no matter their role in the business.

It’s been a ground-breaking journey for us at Connect Health so far, and our growth continues to inspire and excite us.

Our careers events in January are fully online and you’ll hear about our journey so far, our values, our culture and be able to interact with some of our people through video and live chat sessions. Take a look at some of the planned highlights during the events:

  • You’ll get to hear from Professor Andrew Walton on why we do what we do.
  • You’ll get to meet some of the team of clinicians who made the move from the NHS, or joined Connect Health and have developed their careers within the business.
  • Hear from our Head of Clinical Education, Ash James, highlighting the passion we have for our clinicians to be the very best that they can be as he talks through the leading edge Academy.
  • You’ll be able to ask all the questions that you have in our live chat Q&A session with a wide range of panel members.
  • And if you attend one of our events, you’ll be given the opportunity to access some of our leading online CPD sessions.

The event won’t be a hard sell of “come and work at Connect”. That’s not what we’re about and we know that we all need to be fully informed when considering something significant, such as a new career move. What we are about, is being welcoming and supportive, enabling you to get an insight into our team and our values to be able to consider and reflect on whether Connect Health could be right for you now, or in the future.

Have we caught your interest?

Sign up and come along to one of our events and let us introduce you to Connect Health at one of the sessions below:

  • 17th January at 4:30pm
  • 20th January at 12:30pm
  • 20th January at 6pm
