The RESCUE Adult Critical Care Transfer Service operated by South Central Ambulance Service is recruiting suitably qualified clinicianson a bank basisto work as Transfer Doctors, working alongside a dedicated team of Transfer Practitioners (Paramedics) and a dedicated ambulance and Emergency Care Assistant (ECA) to undertake duty shifts.

The main role is to undertake inter-facility transfers of adults in need, or of likely need, of critical care. Transfers will predominantly be within the South East region, but will include transfers out of region, as well as the provision of mutual aid to other regions and to other transfer services (including older children).

Transfer Doctors will act as a point of advice and information to organisations and clinicians seeking to undertake an interfacility transfer.

Transfer Doctors will champion Transfer Training within local hospitals in support of intra- and inter-hospital transfers.

In addition to providing direct clinical care, Transfer Doctors will be expected to contribute to Clinical Governance and Continuous Quality Improvement activities.

The hourly rate for this role is £75. Interviews will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.
