A fantastic opportunity has arisen to expand our Integrated Community Children’s Nursing Service and appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Registered Children’s Nurse and Learning Disability Nurses with extensive experience in nursing children and young people, preferably within the community setting.

Our established, passionate and dedicated Integrated Community Children’s Nursing Service (iCCNS) works collaboratively with children, young people (CYP), families and the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe care is provided within the community wherever possible. As a Senior Nurse within the iCCN service you will have the opportunity to shape our responsive service as it continually adapts to the ever-changing needs of the CYP & families we care for. Your primary focus will be to support the enhanced specialist school nursing offer in a variety of Portsmouth schools. In addition to delivering nursing care, you will lead care planning, training and multi-disciplinary liaison for CYP within their home and the wider community setting.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead as a team player, whilst having the initiative to work autonomously and effectively. You require good organisational skills and evidence of continued professional development and will be supported and encouraged to further develop your leadership and management skills within the service.
