Following the expansion of our Integrated Community Children’s Nursing Service, we are looking to appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Registered Children’s Nurse with extensive experience in nursing children, preferably within the community setting.

Our established, passionate and dedicated integrated Community Children’s Nursing Service (iCCNS) works collaboratively with children, young people (CYP), families and the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe care is provided within the community wherever possible. We deliver high quality and holistic, child centred care to CYP who require nursing intervention, across Portsmouth and the South East Hampshire area with acute and long term conditions, complex needs, life-limiting and life-threatening illness, including CYP requiring palliative and end of life care.

As a Nurse within the iCCN service you will have the opportunity to shape our responsive service as it continually adapts to the ever-changing needs of the CYP & families we care for. In addition to delivering nursing care, you will lead care planning, training and multi-disciplinary liaison for CYP within their home and the wider community setting.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and show the ability to operate as a team player, whilst having the initiative to work autonomously and effectively. You require good organisational skills, knowledge of safeguarding children and evidence of continued professional development and will be supported and encouraged to further develop your skills within the service.This post requires youhold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.
