The Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (CNRS) offers specialist multi-disciplinary rehabilitation to adults with neurological conditions in the community. The service provides assessment, treatment and offers support, education and advice to family, carers and other professionals. The service provides goal focused, time limited rehabilitation interventions.

We are looking to recruit a senior Occupational Therapist on a permanent, full time basis.

In the last couple of years, the service has experienced significant change due to a service redesign. This post will hold an opportunity to consolidate knowledge and experience working in neurological rehabilitation as well as leadership and implementation of a new pathway.

 

This post would be suitable for those wishing to enhance their specialist clinical knowledge and skills in the area of neurological rehabilitation as well as leadership into a new era for the team and service.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with significant experience in the assessment and delivery of interventions to people with long term complex neurological conditions.

Evidence of recent learning and development related to neurological rehabilitation is required.

Excellent communication skills, experience of MDT working and a commitment to service development and leadership are also required.

The multidisciplinary team comprises Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Nurses, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitians, Rehabilitation Assistants, Neuro-Psychologists and Consultants alongside administration support.

The service works alongside a range of social care, housing, education, leisure, voluntary services; as well as other health care providers.

All frontline health and care workers are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 by 1st April 2022. The first dose of the vaccine must be given by 3rd February 2022 in order to meet this deadline.

Applicants for front line roles will be required to provide evidence of vaccination as part of any pre-employment checks.
