Leeds Community Pain Service offers a range of pain management options for people (adults 18+) who have been living with persistent pain. Our aim is to support patients to discover ways to find a better life with pain.

We are looking to recruit an additional Health Care Trainer to join the team. The multidisciplinary team comprises of Nurses, Allied Health Professionals (Physiotherapists and an Occupational therapist), Health Care trainers, Peer Support Workers and a team of Administrators.

The service has close links with the Tier 3 Pain Management team provided by Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.

The role will include :
Delivering telephone assessment - providing information as to what the service offers , enabling patients to make a decision as to whether they can commit to the programme.

Supporting patients to complete screening tools via a digital APP (face to face and by telephone).

Supporting patients to achieve their personal pain management goals , including relaxation and exercise options on a one to one and group basis.

Working with other members of the clinical team and independently to deliver pain management group sessions.

Do you have experience working in a health care setting and an interest or experience specifically in pain management?

Are you patient and empathetic with experience working as part of a team and have good communication skills?

Are you looking for a band 4 development opportunity in a clinical support role?

You may be working as a physiotherapy or occupational therapy assistant currently and have transferable skills that would be advantageous for a Health Care Trainer role within the community-based pain team?

All frontline health and care workers are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 by 1st April 2022. The first dose of the vaccine must be given by 3rd February 2022 in order to meet this deadline.
