We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Audit Advisor to join our Healthcare Governance Department here at The London Clinic. This role is based in our Head Office in Central London with a highly competitive salary on offer.

Job Description

As a key member of the Healthcare Governance Team, you will be responsible for supporting the team in establishing and maintaining clinical audit within the mainstream activity of the hospital.

  • Job Type: Full Time, permanent position.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Mon - Fri within the core hours of 9am-5.30pm.
  • Location: The London Clinic Administration Building – 1 Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the clinical audit lead and implementing systems of internal control with regards to monitoring compliance with the findings of internal audits and supporting compliance with other external assessments/accreditations.
  • Facilitate with the development of the organisational clinical audit plans, assisting the clinical audit lead in that process.
  • Work with directorates, leads or specialties to ensure the audit programme incorporates audit and effectiveness audits that meet the organisation’s governance objectives. This includes: using national benchmarking data e.g., Royal College Guidelines, NICE recommendations, CQC outcomes and regulations etc.
  • Consult and provide advice to clinical staff on the design and development of proposed audits. This may include advice on selecting topics to audit, carrying out literature searches, advising on the appropriate audit methodology in order to promote the completion of the clinical audit cycle and to ensure audits are undertaken seamlessly by the deadlines as directed.


Skills & Experience

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a clinical audit role.
  • Working within the healthcare sector with a knowledge and understanding of the associated terminology as well as clinical governance practice and methodologies.
  • Experience undertaking audits (local or national).
  • Highly motivated with experience of establishing good working relations with individuals at all levels.
