This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled ED lead nurse to join a well-established and experienced CAMHS Eating Disorder service.

You will need sound knowledge and experience of the needs of young people and their families who present with a significant eating disorder and how to apply evidence-based practice in their treatment.

As a lead nurse the post holder will need to provide expert professional and clinical leadership across the service. Providing expert consultation and supervision to other clinical members of the team. You will offer specialist assessment and treatment for young people who present with a significant eating disorder. You will provide liaison, consultation and support to other agencies and work closely with our partners in pediatrics and inpatient CAMHS. You will be supported to take on a leadership role to ensure service development and provide leadership cover when required to support the service.

There is an expectation that this post holder will be able to offer flexible working hours which may include evening and weekend work.

As one of the senior members of the team, you will work alongside senior staff and contribute to the team’s development, as we continue to strive to be an accessible, responsive, and innovative service with patient care and patient experience at its heart. There will be opportunities to develop your leadership and strategic skills with support from senior colleagues. For example, you may contribute to service development, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives, service user involvement, audit, and research. We welcome applications from candidates who can bring knowledge and skills to help us build on our success; to create a high quality, efficient and effective system to address demand and capacity issues and expertise in areas such as intake, assessment and brief treatment models and groups.

We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable nurse, with experience of working with eating disorders and a passion for working with children, young people, and their families, with a strong leadership background.
