We have recently set up our CAMHS In-reach Liaison Service based in the Paediatric Emergency Department at University Hospital Southampton and due to its success are recruiting to expand. This role is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to be involved in the delivery of a new service that will make a huge impact on the wellbeing of young people in Southampton and surrounding areas.

We are looking for exceptional individuals with the right attitude, skills and knowledge who share our passion to deliver the best quality care experience for children and their families to take on the role as a Liaison Practitioner. CAMHS offers high quality, child and young person-centred assessments to young people under the age of 18 who present toUniversity Hospital Southampton in crisis. We are committed to ensuring young people can access the support they need out of hours and as such this role includes working a 7-day shift pattern, including evenings.

As a practitioner in the team you will play a part in the delivery of direct clinical care, as well as supporting and advising colleagues within the wider acute setting on the mental health needs of children and young people. You will provide oversight of children and young people admitted to UHS as well as offering a 7 day follow up to those young people safely discharged.

You will benefit from being a member of a wider CAMH Service which includes Mental Health Support Teams, SpCAMHS and a multi-agency crisis intervention service which come together under the umbrella of an integrated CAMHS Leadership team. Our Leadership team is strong and supportive and is committed to creating opportunities for Continual Professional Development. Successful candidates to this post will have the opportunity to access CBT and DBT training to the required level for the role, amongst other opportunities.
