We are delighted to announce that following an extension in funding, we have an opening in the Children and Young People’s Psychiatric Liaison Service and welcome applications for the post ofChildren and Young People’s Eating Disorder and Mental Health Assessment and Intervention Nurseto join our team in Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation trust.

Whether you're a Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disabilities Nurse with extensive mental health background if you're looking for a varied role in a team which bridges the gap between physical and mental health, this could be your next role.

The team offers high quality holistic assessments to young people under the age of 18 who present in the Acute General Hospital as a result of mental health issues, physical illness and distress.

You'll work collaboratively with colleagues in other teams, such as the CAMHS Crisis service, Social Care and Paediatrics, to offer a responsive service that places the young persons at the centre of all we do.

You will work alongside a highly experienced Paediatric Psychiatric Liaison Nurse and be integrated as part of the wider CYP team.

You should be a team player with a willingness to teach and educate acute colleagues, improve mental health awareness, as well as a commitment to help develop the service further to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people within the acute hospital setting.

Initial 1 year fixed term with high probability of extension.
