Shift timings are to cover the hours of operation of the Mass Vaccination Centres:

0800 – 2000 - 7 days a week Monday to Sunday:

Early Short Day: 8am-2pm / Late Short Day: 2pm-8pm / Long Day 8am-8pm


An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the delivery of a vaccine for Covid-19 in the Darlington region. This programme of work is the biggest immunisation programme of our time and is both challenging and rewarding. The Clerk Receptionist role will provide an effective reception and administrative service to the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, ensuring that a high quality of customer care is delivered.

We are looking for well organised individuals who can manage their own workload with a keen eye for detail. You will be a great communicator with the ability to promote excellent team and interdisciplinary relationships.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 in appropriate subject (or on pathway) or equivalent qualification / experience
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Able to communicate with members of the public, all staff and health care providers
  • Presents self as courteous, respectful and helpful
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Good computer literacy skills.
