Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust’s registered charity Over and Above is now seeking a motivated, inspiring and passionate Charity Fundraising Administrator to join our team based at North Devon District Hospital.

You will be joining a very positive team culture and working environment.

This is a key role within the charity as you will use your administrative and organisational skills to ensure that the fundraising team is well supported to deliver successful campaigns. Using the charity’s specialist database you will ensure that the financial, charitable and administrative records are maintained accurately, timely and consistently. You will feel comfortable handling cash donations and ensuring our donors receive an acknowledgement letter thanking them for their support.

Working closely with the community and donors, the ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, keen for direct contact with people, be good at motivating, self- confident as well as a self-starter, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Occasionally you will also need to be flexible to support evening and weekend events.

The Government has formally announced that it intends to introduce regulations that will require most healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd dose) against COVID-19 by 1st April 2022. To achieve this the successful applicant must have had their 1st COVID-19 vaccination by 3rd February 2022. Therefore, full COVID-19 vaccination will be a condition of employment unless an individual is medically exempt. We will ask for proof of vaccination during the recruitment process.

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E) and Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust (NDHT) are planning to formally join together in April 2022; subject to the necessary approvals from our Board, Governors and regulatory authorities. Our teams of care professionals work with patients and their families to support peoples’ independence, health and wellbeing. We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.

Our patients (through the Friends and Family Test) regularly report an average of over 95% satisfaction with our services.
