We are looking for experienced midwives to join our expanding maternity department. Midwifery is seeing a surge in popularity and we are fortunate to be able to offer new and exciting opportunities within our team. It’s a fantastic time to be a part of this new journey here with us at Birmingham Women’s Hospital.

Provision of seamless maternal care and wellbeing for all women, regardless of the level of medical risk, is at the forefront of our practice. Our midwives strive to provide holistic care for all our women and pride ourselves on expertise, knowledge and the delivery of evidence based, women centred enhanced midwifery care.

As a Band 6 Midwife at Birmingham Women’s Hospital you will have the opportunity to rotate between our hospital wards (antenatal / postnatal) and delivery suite. We can be flexible and will work with you when developing your rotation programme. We also have opportunities to join our core delivery suite team, triage team or high dependency unit team.

As a large Trust we also have our dedicated Continuity of Carer teams, a Fetal Medicine Department and a range of specialist midwives across the service including; diabetes, haematology, sonography, NIPE, practice development, fetal monitoring and screening.
