Trainee/Qualified ACP in Oncology (AOS Team)

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Oncology Service within University Hospitals Plymouth NHS trust. We are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who has extensive experience working with cancer patients, and has the enthusiasm, passion and motivation to come and join our expanding acute oncology team. The successful post holder would work alongside the current AOS ACP, within the oncology ward, oncology assessment bay and the oncology team as a whole. The post holder would be expected to independently review acutely unwell oncology patients and make decisions regarding their treatment plans, manage our oncology assessment bay, work as part of the oncology team on the ward and manage telephone triage calls as needed. The post holder would work within the acute oncology team, supporting oncology patients wherever they may be within the hospital. We currently provide a 5 day a week service but are looking to expand this in the future to 7 days. An Annex 21 role is available – Band 7 trainee ACP role

 

In the case of trainees the postholder will be paid at Band 7

 

For those successful candidates who are appointed who are currently working towards the Qualification or willing to undertake this qualification, you will be appointed as a trainee under Annex 21 during the training period, Once this qualification /competencies attained, you will move onto the Band 8a pay scale.
