LOCATION: Discharge Lounge

HOURS: 37.5 HRS Permanent

SALARY: £40,057 – £45,839 PER ANNUM

 

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 to join and manage our nursing and portering team in the Discharge Lounge. The Discharge Lounge is integral in providing patient flow across the trust thus ensuring early discharge.

 

  • We aim to provide a friendly and professional working environment, whilst delivering a high standard of care to our patients.
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated nurse manager that can display good management skills.
  • Have a good post registration experience and to have experience in mentoring and developing staff and clinical expertise.
  • You must be prepared to complete additional training/competencies as required.
  • This nurse manager must be forward thinking and dynamic in their approach to change.
  • They must demonstrate a desire to deliver high quality patient centred care and develop the nursing team.

Derriford Hospital is the largest in the South West. We care for patients both from a rural and urban backgrounds. The discharge Lounge is key in ensuring safe patient flow from the trust and is keen to find a manager who can bring new ideas and build on our team of staff.

We are a teaching hospital with significant input into undergraduate medical, nursing and paramedic education, along with postgraduate training at all levels. We benefit from excellent access to tertiary services, and have good relationships with key departments to support our work.
