MY CARE End User Trainers

The Trust is seeking inspiring and forward thinking people from a range of professional backgrounds (including existing Trainers, Learning & Development, Nursing and Midwifery, Healthcare Professionals, and Administrative & Clerical roles) to join the MY CARE Programme Training team as MY CARE End User Trainers.

You’ll be a part of a team responsible for delivering training on at least one application of our new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and new ways of working. As a member of the MY CARE Training team you will play a key part in delivering one of the biggest training programmes the Trust has ever undertaken, working with staff from across the organisation.

MY CARE End User Trainers will work closely with the MY CARE Training Manager, Principal Trainers, Configuration Analysts, as well as wider Trust staff in defining, planning and implementing the training programme to ensure that all staff are trained to the required standard to enable a successful and safe ‘go-live’.

Ideal candidates will have an ambition to or experience of delivering training within a healthcare environment. To be successful in this role you will be required to use a variety of learning and teaching techniques inspiring people to learn. Excellent interpersonal and planning skills, alongside strong communication and presentation skills are essential.

The End User Trainers will be based in the North Devon District Hospitaland will provide business support to the MY CARE Northern Devon Programme. It will be expected that all MY CARE Trainers will travel to all/any Trust sites to deliver training as required.

The MY CARE End User Trainers posts are available as either a secondment or fixed term contract. You will join the team in February and will be part of the MY CARE Team until 9th September 2022, however there maybe the possibility of further extension. We will also be looking for our MY CARE Trainers to assist with the provision of 24/7 cover during the go-live period to support our Trust staff.

My Care NDHT - Transforming care together

We are embarking on a major programme of clinical pathway and digital transformation at NDHT, called ‘My-Care’. This work will involve the introduction of a fully integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system matched with a significant investment in digital technology. We are working in partnership with award-winning EPR supplier, EPIC, to deliver this transformational programme of work.

This ground-breaking Programme is scheduled for go-live in the Summer of 2022. The My Care programme will be exciting and challenging with a focus on creating a digital working environment which will enable our staff to work more collaboratively and efficiently in delivering outstanding care to our patients and the wider community. The key to unlocking this major programme of change is the engagement and involvement of our staff in delivering the changes needed.

The My Care Programme will only be delivered successfully if we establish an enthusiastic, hard-working and dedicated Programme Implementation Team. As part of the team we need to employ staff from all areas of clinical practice, administrative and clerical, and corporate areas such as HR, Service Development and Information Management and Technology.
