We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Clinical Educator to join our Learning & Development Team. This role is based at our Head Office in Central London with remote working available and a highly competitive salary on offer.

Job Description

The post holder will be the lead for clinical education at The London Clinic, and will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care via education and training, acting as a positive role model across the organisation.

• Job Type: Full Time, permanent position.
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Location: 1 Park Square West, London NW1 4LJ

Duties & Responsibilities

• Act as a professional resource for the organisation, providing expert advice concerning professional development education and practice learning-related issues in nursing and for allied health professions
• Work closely with key business partners and stakeholders to establish the gaps in clinical skills, knowledge and behaviour, via the annual learning needs analysis in clinical areas, and identify cost-effective learning interventions that support the organisation’s business strategy
• Assess, plan, design, deliver and evaluate training and learning interventions through impactful, inspiring, engaging, innovative learning methodologies and pedagogy
• Create and adapt a curriculum for a variety of audiences and learning delivery methods across the organisation, delivered in a range of settings including classroom, skills lab, clinical areas

Skills & Experience

• Current registration with the NMC on the appropriate part of the register
• Relevant first degree and a post graduate qualification in education is desirable.
• Knowledge and understanding of post-registration training and clinical education
• Experience in teaching and effectively facilitating learning in formal, informal and skills-based settings
• Previous experience of supporting learners in practice and knowledge of current undergraduate nursing curriculum
