An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Salaried GP with possible opportunity to work in the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trustas well

Glemsford Surgery, Suffolk that is integrated with West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust / £ Competitive / 6-8 sessions per week / Friday workday required, other day negotiable in line with surgery requirements / Medical indemnity paid (pro rata) / CQC rated “Good” overall and in all areas (November 2016), ARR in August 2019 / Thriving Pharmacy / Rural practice – 5000 patients

From 1st April 2020, GP Partners at Glemsford Surgery integrated with West Suffolk Foundation Trust (WSFT) to provide improved healthcare services for patients in and around Glemsford.

This is an innovative venture supported by NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (WSCCG). WSFT work alongside the GPs and Surgery staff to deliver GP services. At our heart is improved patient care. We work together to develop and integrate our respective healthcare services and this includes our community nursing colleagues who already work at the hospital.

We believe clinicians working together are in a better position to deliver effective, high quality clinical care. Other benefits include better information sharing between GP and hospital settings.

We are looking for a GP whose main focus will be general practice but where possible, the Trust will support a special interest to suit personal and career needs, or complete additional training to allow the post holder to specialise in an area of particular interest.

We are:

  • A friendly and committed clinical team of 3 GPs (7PA, 6PA, 4PA cover), Two Advanced Nurse Practitioner, two Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacist, OT First Practitioner (focussed on mental health) and HCA
  • Access to In-house Pharmacist technicians
  • A well established and effective administration and management team
  • A GMS practice with 5000 patients
  • A respectable QOF achiever with good patient survey results
  • A SystmOne practice
  • Interested in developing individual special interests
  • Innovative and keen to improve our services and patient care
  • Located within 90 minutes of London and 45 minutes of Cambridge, in an idyllic rural village
  • Member of local PCN
