We have a temporary placement opportunity available for an Administrator within the Diabetes & Endocrine Centre.

The Administrator will be providing the following support to the team:

  • Answer the telephone and receive and relay incoming messages as appropriate and ensure that all enquiries are referred appropriately.
  • Monitor the shared admin email and respond or direct as appropriate and ensure that all enquiries are referred appropriately.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with other team members.
  • Exchange confidential, sensitive or contentious information with staff, patients and carers. Take minutes at relevant meetings distributing a record in a timely manner.
  • To deal with patient enquiries with tact and diplomacy, referring on to a more appropriate person as required.
  • Making reminder calls, emails or texts for education sessions.
  • COVID check calls for patients with upcoming face-to-face appointments or sessions.
  • Contacting patients to recruit for various education groups by phone, text, email or letter.
  • Providing patients with access to online education sessions.
  • Access EPR to view health results, view and add clinical notes
  • Send outcome and GP letters for patients that have/have not attended education.
  • Experience of working with the public, answering telephone calls. Working as part of a MDT team.           
  • Professionalism, accountability, working as part of a team. Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent data entry skills

 

 

 

Salford Royal is based at Stott Lane, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport.  There is onsite parking (fees will apply).  It has four on site cafes and two restaurants where staff are eligible for a discount.  The hospital also has on site shops.
