Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare

This post provides an exciting opportunity for a 0.7 WTE SRH consultant to join the team at Devon Sexual Health Service, providing integrated sexual healthcare across Devon (excluding Plymouth).

Devon sexual health is committed to providing accessible services of the highest quality, using innovative service delivery models. Our service operates from 3 principal sites: Barnstaple, Exeter and Torbay and a range of community settings throughout the County. The post holder will be based in Barnstaple and associated North Devon outreach clinics.

DSH consists of a team of GUM/HIV Consultants, an SRH Consultant, associate specialists and specialty doctors, dual trained nursing staff and dedicated administration staff.

We have strong links with Exeter Medical School and Peninsula Medical School and have a track record in postgraduate teaching and training. We are actively participating in clinical research and there is a shared ambition across the service to expand the research portfolio. Successful applicants for this role could look to establish a research interest if desired.

The successful candidate will be the Contraception lead for the North hub with a focus on providing sexual and reproductive healthcare leadership and training and they will also provide clinical expertise on all aspects of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare across the entire Devon Sexual Health service through the existing governance structures.
