If so Ward 32 is looking for a Therapeutic Activity Coordinator to join our team. We are a 16 bedded ward specialising in the care of older people. You will lead on developing a Therapeutic Activity Programme within the ward, working closely with the nursing and therapy teams. We are looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills, experience of working with vulnerable groups of patients who will be innovative in creating and engaging a number of activities including the arts, music, reminiscence therapy and physical activities.

Manchester Royal Infirmary will offer you support from an experienced team of senior nurses and educators alongside the existing team of Therapeutic Activity Coordinators. A personal development plan will be put in place to meet your ongoing development needs and we will provide a comprehensive induction programme.

From 11th November 2021, it has been a mandatory requirement for Care Home workers to have had first and second COVID-19 vaccinations or to evidence medical exemption in order to comply with Government legislation.

From 1st April 2022 all NHS workers in England who have face to face or incidental contact with patients must have had their first and second vaccinations for COVID-19. Only those with medical exemptions will be excluded from this requirement.

This mandatory requirement may apply to this position. If it does apply, you will be asked to provide evidence of vaccinations / exemption as part of the employment checks if you are offered the position.

We may decide to close this vacancy earlier than the published closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction in the first 3 months following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85(enhanced disclosure) If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
