We are currently developing our cancer services at Imperial, and are looking for a registered nursing associate band 4 on ward 6 North at Charing Cross Hospital. This is a 26 bedded ward which cares for patients with complex symptom’s, patients receiving radioactive isotopes for thyroid and neuroendocrine tumours and palliative patients. Informal visits welcomed.

The Cancer’s we specialise in include; gastrointestinal (upper and lower), breast, hepato-pancreatico-biliary, endocrine, gestational trophoblastic disease, lung and urological malignancies. Services provided include radiotherapy, chemotherapy, radioactive isotopes, symptom control and palliative care.

As a registered nurse associate you will work as part of a progressive nursing team lead by one of our Matrons working alongside Consultants and the other members of the Specialist teams to develop an integrated service.

As a member of the 6 North team you will be looking after patients (and their families) who may have complex symptom control issues and patients at the end of their lives. We expect all staff to help each other, not only on 6 North, but to work collaboratively with our colleagues from cancer services, the MDT and from other departments around the hospital. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent patient care, in a supportive and caring environment.
