The Role

We have a temporary placement opportunity available for a Ward Clerk  to work within ETC surgery ,  helping with the following duties

 

Duties include:

  • Book in, via the appropriate tracking system, all notes received onto the war
  • File all documents, once signed by the Doctor, Nurse or other health profession
  • Request any missing notes from the records office
  • Ensure that the patient notes and other reports are complete and ready for ward rounds
  • Ensure that discharge letters are available to patients leaving the ward by ensuring that the clinical staff complete all discharge documentation
  • Provide a friendly, professional and efficient manner at all times to all staff, patients and visitor
  • Receive visitors to the ward, directing them as appropriate either to the patient area or to the nursing staff.

  • Admin experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and excel
  • Methodical approach
  • NHS System knowledge
