Solent NHS Trust Special Care Dental Service are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated receptionist to provide administration and clerical support for the Dental Service at our Somerstown Central clinic in Portsmouth and other sites in the area as required.

The post holder will be responsible for greeting patients referred in to the service, telephone calls, general administration and reception duties.

The post holder will be first point of contact for staff, patients, general dental practitioners and other health professionals. The successful candidate should be confident; able to work under pressure and have the ability to communicate with staff at all levels throughout the organisation to ensure seamless care to patients.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent IT and organisational skills are also vital to this position and candidates should be proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and should have competent keyboard skills, knowledge of a dental software package would be an advantage. Applicants should also be able to prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines with a patient focused approach.
